ITINERARY: a day in Bowral, NSW

Arguably the heart and most popular town in the Southern Highlands, Bowral is home to some of the best spots in the region. The sprawling main street is filled with cafes, restaurants and an array of stores and boutiques ranging from antiques to fashion and everything in between.

But if you’ve only got a day and want to make the most of it - here is my perfect itinerary for a day in beautiful and bustling Bowral.

Coffee:

Coffee first, always! And in Bowral - that can only mean Nick’s. You will not get a better coffee anywhere in the whole country, trust me. Small but mighty, this chic and minimal coffee bar on the main street in Bowral is flawless.

Shop:

A shoppers dream, with so many choices! The South Store is impeccable - super interesting and unique pieces with effortlessly cool vibes. Wyldestone has a curated selection of minimalist fashion alongside incredible handmade pieces of unique stone furniture from Mason Wylde. The most beautiful stationary in the world is found at Bespoke Letterpress. And the stunning SoHi is home to their incredible gins and spirits inspired by the botanicals of the Highlands.

Lunch:

Harry’s on Green Lane is the perfect spot for a cosy lunch. Filled with plants and exquisite decor inspired by botanical adventures, Harry’s is the heart of Green Lane. The crab linguine is divine - best paired with a glass of a prosecco and a spot by the fire.

Browse:

Explore Green Lane (The Orangery is my favourite!), browse the treasure trove of Dirty Janes, the beautiful new Coachhouse Collective, and peruse the curated antiques of the Bronte Tram. Stop past Bare Body Beauty for deliciously natural bath products and skincare, and pick up some incredible florals from Blooms of Bowral.

Drinks & Dinner:

Chic with a dose of cheeky - The Parting Glass is the perfect spot to end the day. Fun and vibrant - the cocktails are inspired, the wine list is excellent, and the food is delicious. The menu is modern Australia tapas designed to be shared - everything is amazing! Settle in and watch the world go by - this cocktail bar is exactly what Bowral was missing!
