This boutique garden hotel has all the charm of its 1920s origins as a beautiful country guesthouse in the Southern Highlands.

I have a particular soft spot for Links House - my parents were married here in the 1980s. But this gorgeous property has been recently renovated with the magic touch from the inimitable Lisa Madigan - bringing a romantic and elegant aesthetic perfectly blending contemporary and heritage elements in every corner.

Set across the road from a pristine golf course, Links House is nestled in established gardens filled with roses, hydrangeas, Japanese wind anemones and beautiful old trees providing verdant views from every window and magical dappled light throughout the garden.

Just a short drive to Bowral, this is a great jump-off spot to explore the Highlands and return in the evenings for a delicious meal at Ethos and a cosy drink by the fireplace in the lounge.
