Berry, NSW

Easily one of my favourite regional towns in the whole country, beautiful Berry has something for everyone.

Around two hours from Sydney, just under three hours from Canberra, and only 15 minutes to the stunning South Coast, Berry is an ideal spot for a day trip to explore the region.

Stocked with incredible homewares stores and boutiques, Berry is a shopper’s paradise. You can spend a whole day browsing (and buying!) in this compact little town. Whether it’s pieces for your home, luxe fashion, delicious tea, or stunning florals – I challenge anyone to visit Berry without coming home with something!

Beautiful Berry has something for everyone.

Start at the top of Queen Street and slowly make your way down. Make sure you don’t skimp on the side streets though – because there are some real gems!

You cannot go past Amara Home for special homewares and designer fashion pieces, Few & Far has become an institution for incredible homewares, Shady Fig is the dreamiest florist and botanical store, the tea from The Berry Tea Shop is genuinely the best you can find, Long Weekend Store is a curated slow fashion boutique with some real gems, and there are so many more I will let you discover for yourself!

And for the foodies among us – Berry has you well and truly covered. Fine dining, elegant bistros, relaxed eats and your choice of excellent cafes – I recommend planning your day around your food and use some retail therapy to punctuate your meals. And don’t forget to get some fresh donuts from The Famous Berry Donut Van for your drive home!

QUEEN ST EATERY

I have to give a special shout out to Queen St Eatery which is far and away our favourite restaurant. And yes, I know that sounds like a big call – but this exquisite little bistro is perfection. The food is extraordinary, the wine list is incredible, the décor is divine, every detail is beautiful, even down to playlists which are so on point. I cannot recommend this spot enough- please do yourself a favour and book!

I’m always on the hunt for beautiful places to stay around here. THE COTTAGE Kangaroo Valley is stunning, and I’ve had my eye on Bangalay Villas too – so stay tuned for another Travel Guide for a full weekend in this gorgeous region!
